Sticky Tape Replacement Guide
Buy our prepackaged “Sticky Tape Replacements” sized for your Mainejane’s Tacklers™ or you can make your own.
Here is our suggested replacement method and preferred product we use:
Scrape old “Sticky Tape” off your two VELCRO® Brand straps.
Cut two pieces of your sticky tape approximately 2 inches shorter than your VELCRO® Brand straps. For Kids sizing, cut one piece of your sticky tape approximately 8 inches in length. Cut this piece in half lengthwise, keeping the protective layer on both sides of the tape.
Lay one piece of your cut tape on a flat surface.
Remove the top paper from the new tape.
Center your VELCRO® Brand strap rough side down, then press firmly back and forth sideways. The warmth of your hands will ensure a good stick!
Cover with your clear layer marked “Keep This Side on Top.”*
Repeat 3 - 6 with your second VELCRO® Brand strap.
Store in your original bag, ready for your next outdoor adventure.
*You must identify the “topside” of the tape and keep that side on top or your layers will not be able to be separated! Use a sticker or mark with an “x” to keep sticky side up!
Look for Roberts Double-Sided Carpet Tape at Lowe’s, Home Depot or your local hardware store. Take care when working with this tape, it’s extremely sticky!
